Ghazali Education Trust UK (GET UK) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO) with a clear mission. GET UK aims to assist and provide an excellent education for the poor and needy in Pakistan, to achieve their full potential. Initially founded as Ghazali Education Trust in 1995, started with a limited number of resources and manpower, the charity’s mission is to eradicate illiteracy and ignorance in rural areas of Pakistan by educating students and training teachers. Whilst people’s ideologies take time to change especially regarding women empowerment, great achievements have been made on the ground. However, greater work is needed to achieve the desired results. GET UK believes that with the staunch faith in Almighty Allah, the sincere efforts of the team and your donations, miracles can happen.
Ghazali Education Trust is now the largest quality education network provider in rural areas of Pakistan. The growing success of the education services and the provision of aid and support under various projects. These including women’s education, human resource development (HRD) and financial aid means that your support is needed now more than ever before. GET UK is grateful to be able to provide services ranging from children’s education and teacher training to the provision of water and orphan sponsorship, however, this is an indication of the dire situation in Pakistan where the need for these basic services that we take for granted are high. Therefore, the launch of GET UK was inevitable to meet the demands of the poor and powerless and continue this amazing work to educate people. This is a positive step forward to ensure that the poor and needy can get the help they need to be able to succeed and become self-sufficient. GET UK firmly believes that once a child gets the education that they rightly deserve, without feeling constrained by other factors such as lack of money or livelihood, they will no longer feel powerless.

The establishment of the Research and Development Department (R&D) was to ensure that the excellent quality and services provided by Ghazali Education Trust UK (GET UK) is maintained and does not fall below expectation, especially with the increasing number of students enrolled reaching over 44,000 in the Education program alone. As a result of this, the demand for teachers is constantly increasing. Thus, the training of the teachers is crucial to ensure that students do not miss out on certain aspects of study because of the teachers.

Transparency is crucial for GET UK, team members do everything in the charity’s ability to help the poor and needy, whilst establishing transparency and accountability in all stages of the programme operations.
GET UK’s moral responsibility of fulfilling one’s obligations to firstly Allah, and then the servants of Allah by working to empower the vulnerable and help communities, is never forgotten. Communities are encouraged to be self-sufficient and are always treated with respect, sincerity, and dignity. There is great trust and responsibility emphasised when helping the poor no just in Islam but as human beings. Everyone is reminded and should be reminded to treat others as you would like to be treated, which is reiterated when GET UK members are dedicating their time and efforts in helping those who may think that they are forgotten, as they are more difficult to reach in rural areas.
